The Midland School District has canceled school for the remainder of this week due to increased positive cases of COVID.

Superintendent Dr. Bruce Bryant said Midland’s COVID positivity rate is at 20 percent, and he anticipates that percentage increasing.

Bryant said teachers are not required to report for work today, however, they may be asked to report for on-campus work later in the week.

He said maintenance workers, custodians, cafeteria workers, and secretaries will be reporting for work.

Dr. Bryant added that bus drivers should see that their buses are properly sanitized for use again next week.
