Obituary: Ronnie Page

Ronnie Page of Newport, Arkansas, departed life on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Newport at the age of 66. He was born April 15, 1955, in Newport, the son of James and Geneva (Chatman) Page.

Ronnie and his brother, Stanley, worked on overhead doors together for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, fishing, and mud racing. He always added a lift kit and big tires on his Jeeps to go off-roading or racing.

He especially enjoyed afternoon drives down country roads with his son and eyes, Nicholas. They would make their usual trip around the bottoms to stop and visit his nephew, Shawn Page, and have their talks.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy (Foster) Page; one sister, Johnnie Sue Nicholson; one brother, Melvin Page; his nephew, James Shane Page; and his parents.

He is survived by one son, James Nicholas Page of the home; one daughter, Tonya Lewis of Diaz, Arkansas; two brothers, Stanley Page of Elgin, Arkansas, and Robert Page and wife, Judy of Auvergne; two nephews, Shawn Page and wife, Erica of Auvergne, and Bryan Plummer, wife Jennifer, and their children, Kaitlynn, Chase, Jade and Nathan Plummer of Newport; two nieces, Kati Lewis of Diaz, and Kera Scudamore and husband, Al of Elgin; four great-nephews, Colton Guffey of Tuckerman, Esi Guffey of Elgin, Kyle Dodson of Auvergne, and Brian Hurst of Auvergne; one uncle, Jerry Page and wife Janet, of Newport; one brother-in-law, Scotty Foster and wife, Laurie; close friend, Karen Page; his best friend, Butch Welch of Auvergne; and many other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
