Here’s a look at Batesville Pioneers bowling action from the team this week…
Batesville had a great week in bowling. On Monday, we traveled to Hijinx in Jonesboro to face Valley View.
The Pioneers brought home the win taking three of the four single games (555-481, 499-509, 456-324, 514-371) and one Baker’s game (180-127). Top bowlers were Caleb Teague (222) and Landen Hodge (220).
The Lady Pioneers also won 3 of their 4 singles (450-412, 422-340, 267-311, 323-292) and both Baker’s games (134-117, 120-103). Top bowlers were Sophia Strain (233) and Destany Lee (146).
On Wednesday, the Pioneers faced Southside.
The boys split the singles matches with each school winning two (Batesville-Southside: 512-419, 400-422, 477-491, 514-513).
Batesville took both Baker’s games (178-171, 184-147) to win the night.
Top bowlers for Batesville were Jeremiah Brewer (209) and Caleb Teague (203). Southerner high scores went to Antonio Ciamarcone (212, 221). The Lady Pioneers struggled a little at first winning one singles game (409-445, 592-330, 248-418, 299-466) but took the night by winning both Baker’s games (150-136, 155-127).
Lady Pioneer Sophia Strain bowled a 289 remaining perfect through the first ball of her 10th frame. Grace Lawellin had a high game of 205 for the Lady Southerners.
