Lady Southerners finish regular season with road win

The Southside girls basketball team finished their regular season last Thursday with a win on the road against Blytheville. 

The Southerners compiled an overall record of 25-1, and 14-0 in the conference. This season may be a history-making for the Southside girls basketball program. 

Thursday night’s victory was by a large margin with a score of 58-26. 

Southside ladies were leading 42-15 at the half. The Southside team outscored a much-improved Blytheville team 20 points in the second quarter. 

The team was led in scoring by Olivia Allen with 19 points, six assists, and six steals. Callie Jo Robbins contributed 13 points all scored in the first half. Kamie Jenkins scored nine points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and had four block shots. 

Eight Lady Southerners scored in the victory. Carrigan Cossey pulled down seven big rebounds to help the team.
