Gene Douglas Hatler, 66, of Cord departed this life on Friday, February 18, 2022. He was born October 9, 1955, to Paul Dickerson Hatler and Mandy Evelyn Douglas.
Gene was a true horseman, he not only enjoyed rodeos and watching westerns on television, but he rode horses himself. It was one of his favorite things to do, along with spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, his wife, Brenda Hatler; one brother, Sam Hatler and one sister, Lucy Tinnel.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Morse (Chasidy) of Saffel, Travis Hatler of Cord and Jordon Hatler of Kentucky; his daughters, Teresa Morse of Newark, Corinna Murphree (Gary) of Newark and Ashley Mathis (Brandon) of Cord; sisters, Paula Wright (Arnold) of West Virginia, Linda Fagan (Dan) of Texas; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
