According to court records, a woman contacted the Stone County Sheriff’s Department on Feb. 9 concerning harassing phone calls to her place of employment.
Chief Deputy Sheriff Dammon McGilton reported the woman had received numerous voicemails, allegedly from a male identified as Dennis G. Maxwell, 43, of Pineville.
In the arrest affidavit, Maxwell is reported to have allegedly threatened to sexually assault the woman. The affidavit also reported Maxwell has a history of terroristic threatening.
The woman told authorities the only dealings she has had with Maxwell have been during times of business at her job, according to the court record, telling authorities she is terrified of Maxwell.
Maxwell (pictured below) has been arrested and is in the Stone County Jail awaiting his first court date on one count of felony terroristic threatening and one count of harassing communications, a Class A misdemeanor. Bail was set at $50,000.
