Sulphur Rock Elementary celebrates performance as school receives award

Students and faculty of Sulphur Rock Elementary joined Batesville School administrators in welcoming State Sen. James Sturch and State Rep. Stu Smith Friday morning as the legislators presented the school with a check for $13,600.

The senator and representative delivered the check from the State of Arkansas to award the school for its high test scores. 

The Arkansas School Recognition Program was created to provide financial awards to public schools that achieve high student performance and academic growth.
