Two children have died after a boating accident on Lake Ouachita.
According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, officials from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission received a call around 6 p.m. Wednesday reporting a fisherman had discovered two bodies in the water — those of a 5-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl. A Game and Fish spokesman told the paper both children were found with their life jackets on.
A 14-foot flat-bottom boat was also found partially submerged, and deputies from the Garland County Sheriff’s Department are currently on the lookout for another adult who may have been in the boat, the spokesman said.
