A federal court judge in Fayetteville has given the OK to delay the sentencing of former reality TV star Josh Duggar. Northwest Arkansas media outlet KNWA reports Judge Timothy L. Brooks in the Western District of Arkansas Federal Court granted Duggar’s request on Thursday via a text-only order that continued the sentencing hearing until May 25 at 9:30 a.m.

Duggar — who appeared on reality TV programs with his parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, as well as his brothers and sisters — was found guilty on two child pornography charges in December 2021.

His sentencing was originally scheduled for April 5.

Duggar’s defense team filed the motion to request a continuance to “provide additional time to pursue additional information and documentation,” KNWA said.

Duggar is being held in the Washington County Detention Center until his sentencing. He faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for each count.
