David Morris Hampton, 70, of Newport departed this life on Thursday, March 24, 2022. He was born December 15, 1951, to Lebroa and Lacy (Rodgers) Hampton.
David joined the Honey Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Weldon at an early age. He was in the last class that graduated from Branch High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, E.J. Hampton and L.B. Hampton and his sister, Everlyn Hall.
He is survived by his brothers, Manard Hampton (Gladys) of Denver, Colorado and Willis Hapton of Newport; his sisters, Willie Macon of Newport, Dezzie Hall of Newport, special niece, Lacy Williams of Newport and many other nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
