Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens said this morning one returns home, and another goes missing.

He was referring to teenage females who have been classified by his department as runaways.

Yesterday, Britney Teague (pictured below) was reported missing, but Stephens reported she came home last night.

Today, the sheriff said another female, identified as Charley Hicks (pictured above), 17, was scheduled for juvenile court on Tuesday, but did not show up.

Stephens said the missing teenager might be driving a 2019 silver Kia Optima sedan.

Hicks was entered into the national and state Crime Information Centers as a “runaway juvenile.”
