UPDATE: At 3:55 p.m., In a Facebook post, Hot Springs Police confirm the 17-year-old, at the center of a statewide AMBER Alert and reportedly being held for ransom, has been located and is safe.

UPDATE, April 19, 2022, 2:05 p.m.: At 1:53 p.m., the Arkansas State Police said it is seeking a vehicle of interest in the case:  a White Nissan Versa bearing Tennessee plate: 59B D82.

The Arkansas State Police has issued an Arkansas AMBER Alert for a Hot Springs teenager who has apparently been abducted.

According to a release from the state police, Trynytee Case (pictured), 17, reportedly left her work around 9:15 p.m. Monday with a co-worker. As they walked to their vehicles a block from their work, the release said they were met by an “unknown white female” standing near a parked vehicle who told the two she was lost and was staying with her parents at Hot Springs condominium. The unknown female asked Case to use Case’s phone, saying she needed to utilize the GPS coordinates. State police say when the woman asked Case to walk closer to the vehicle, Case’s co-worker then went to pick her own vehicle up. When the co-worker arrived back at the location to pick up Case, Case and the female were gone.

Investigators said after the co-worker called Case’s phone to no answer, Case’s mother was contacted. After numerous attempts, authorities said Case finally answered a call from her mother. The release said Case told her mother, “Everything is fine,” before a male voice came on the phone, stating “they were demanding $10,000” for Case’s return or she would be killed.

At that point, state police said Case’s phone went dead. Authorities say Case’s phone was pinged and last seen headed south on U.S. Highway 7, south of Hot Springs.

Case was last seen wearing a blue hoodie with the logo of her place of employment — the Hot Springs bakery, “Pour Some Sugar on Me” — along with leggings and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information should call the Hot Springs Police Department at (501) 651-7709. The point of contact is Sgt. Scott Lampinen.
