Kenneth Douglas Bennett, 73, of Heber Springs, passed from this walk of life on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

He was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on February 5, 1949, to J.T. and Carrie Lou Tapp Bennett.  He was united in marriage to Joan Bennett on January 10, 1973, and they enjoyed over 48 years of marriage. He was a member of Rock of Refuge Church.

Kenneth was a farmer, mechanic, and master craftsman. He loved to fish, hunt, and garden, as well as spend time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Douglas (Casey) Bennett, of Ravenden; his daughters, Lacey (Mark) Smith, of Drasco, Lora (Chris) King, of Pangburn; his sister, Ann McAbee, of Hernando, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, Dale, Jeremiah, Braden, Gracelyn, Arilyn, Charlee, Quinley; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Ollie; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joan, a brother, Ronnie Bennett, sisters, Kathleen McGuire, Ileta Hand, Donnie Bennett, and a grandson, Kyle Dewayne Bennett.

A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church, 701 Lawrence County 128, Ravenden, Arkansas 72459, with Bro. Mark Smith officiating.

The visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church in Ravenden.
