Marian Phillips Milum, of Batesville, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

She was born on September 1, 1926 in Wynne, Arkansas to Ralph Waldo Phillips and Lena Rivers Boone Phillips.

Marian was a member of First Baptist Church for 81 years where she dedicated her life to service of the church. She was devoted to her family and known by many as “Mam Mam.” Marian was a truly selfless person, loving and kind to everyone she met, and always willing to help. She was the first one to arrive and the last one to leave and could always be counted on as a volunteer for any need. Marian was a great cook and loved the outdoors. She loved playing bridge and watching the Razorbacks, St. Louis Cardinals, and tennis. She was very artistic and created memorable experiences for every family and church gathering.

Survivors include her three sons, Johnny Milum (Margaret) of Jonesboro, William Milum of Jonesboro, and James Milum (Mae) of Batesville; one daughter, Rebecca Richman (Steve) of Batesville; five grandchildren, Maribeth Henderson, Jamie Pool, Katie Covington, Chris Milum, and Pamela Milum; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. Milum Sr.; and four brothers.

Services will be private. Arrangements were made by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
