Billie Jean (Winters) Roach, 90 of Harrisburg departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on April 20, 1932, in Wynne, Arkansas the daughter of Henry and Eddie Winters.
She married James Lewis Roach on December 27, 1947, and they enjoyed 59 years before his passing in 2006.
Her parents both preceded her in death and one daughter, Debbie Lockley, five brothers, five sisters, and one granddaughter, Vickie Jean Harris.
She worked several years at Addison Shoe Factory in Wynne, was a homemaker, took care of her family, and was a member of Assembly of God Church. She also enjoyed sewing, making quilts, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by one son, James “Rickey” and wife Karin Roach of Ohatchee, Alabama, two daughters: Norma Jean and husband Brad Kelsey of Longview, Texas and Margaret Ann Earls of Harrisburg, Arkansas and her husband Jerry Earls preceded Billie Jean in death also, 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
There will be visitation Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 1:00 until Service Time at Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Service Time is 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Bro. Chance Watson will conduct the service and the family will serve as Active Pallbearers. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne, Arkansas.
