Obituary: David Milton Box

David Milton Box, 80, of Southaven, Mississippi departed this life Saturday, June 4, 2022.  He was born February 1, 1942, to Isom Box and Glee Inman.

David was of the Pentecostal belief and an Army Veteran where he received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Mr. Box also completed training courses of Btl Indoc ATP 21-I14, Code of Conduct, Geneva Conv, and CBR Tng. He was a member of the VFW. David enjoyed tinkering with things, he loved working on cars (body work) and carpentry work; including helping build some of the casinos in Tunica.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of twenty-three years Mae Box, brother; Kenneth Ray Box, sisters; Donna Kay Box, Martha “Jean” Stewart, Janice Dodd, Dorothy Cook and Sherry Burns.

He is survived by his sons; Charles Box (Tabatha) of Byhalia, MS, Timothy Box (Reen) of Coldwater, MS., Dennis Box of Horn Lake, MS., Jimmy Box of TN., Mike Vines of Ohio, Terry Box of Murfreesboro, TN., David Alan Box of Memphis, Wesley Box of TN., daughters; Brenda Shivers of Murfreesboro, TN., Debbie Vines of Mt. Home, AR., brothers; Jimmy Box of Henderson, TN., Joe Box (Billie) of Bauxite, AR., sister; Kay Hill (Tommy) of New Albany, MS.,  several grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 2:00 Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Jim Cooper officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.  Interment will be at Watson Cemetery.
