Stone County man accused of sexual assault

A Stone County man has been accused of second-degree sexual assault in an incident involving a female juvenile under the age of 12.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the incident occurred on April 9. The court information said the suspect, Dennis Lee Trammell, 24, was in custody in the Searcy County Jail for violating a no-contact order when a Stone County investigator interviewed Trammell on May 16. Trammell denied any contact with a juvenile during the interview, the affidavit said.

Trammell also has a case pending in Searcy County for sexual assault against two juveniles, according to the court information.

Trammell has been charged in Stone County Circuit Court with one count of sexual assault in the second degree, a felony. His bond in the case was set at $25,000.
