Grady E. Reed, 94, passed away peacefully at his home on June 22, 2022. He was born in Memphis, TN, on February 21, 1928, to Grady E Reed Sr. and Ethel (Powell) Reed.

Grady was in the United States Air Force for six years. After completing that service, he spent 16 years in civil services. He was taking flying lessons but could not complete them due to hearing loss. Grady could always take nothing and turn it into something, whether it be cars, tractors, plumbing, or electrical. Most importantly, Grady was saved in Jesus Christ after 35 years of prayer by his wife.

Grady is survived by his wife, Edna R. (Webb) Reed; sons, Rickey G. Reed and Scottey R. Reed; daughter-in-law, Maggie Reed; grandson, Calvin Martin; grandson-in-law, Mason Spalding; granddaughter, Jenna Spalding; and great-granddaughters, Morgan Martin and Macie Spalding.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verda Henry; and brothers, Kenneth M. Reed, Cheston M. Reed, Neil Reed, and Alta Reed.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Willis Funeral Service Chapel from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. Funeral services will follow, officiated by Charles Morgan and Dan Turner, with interment at Hutchison Mountain Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the VA Hospital.
