Cave City Mayor Jonas Anderson was recently elected to serve as 1st vice president of the Arkansas Municipal League during its 88th annual convention in Little Rock.

Anderson has served on the Executive Committee of the organization since 2018, and as vice president for District 1.

“What a surprise, and what an honor, to be elected to this position by such a distinguished group of colleagues and friends,” Anderson said. “This organization does incredible work on behalf of our cities and towns, and I am excited to serve in this new role.”

Sherwood Mayor Virginia Young will serve as president during the coming year, after serving as 1st vice president last year, along with four district vice presidents who were also elected during the convention.

The Arkansas Municipal League is a voluntary organization, offering many different services to the 500 cities and towns of Arkansas. For more information, visit www.arml.org.
