Obituary: Lois Ann (Hewitt) Guthrie

Lois Ann (Hewitt) Guthrie of Weiner, Arkansas departed this earth on July 2, 2022, at the age of 65 years old. She was born on August 1, 1956, in Jonesboro, Arkansas the daughter of Jesse and Verna (Hufford) Hewitt.

She enjoyed singing, camping, fishing, yard sales, and looking for roadside treasures that she could make something of and she loved taking care of neighborhood kids. You hardly ever went to her house without seeing three or four running around or if she came to visit you she would have multiple kids in her car.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Johnny, Lloyd, Jackie, Anthony, and Wilburn Hewitt, and two sisters: Donna Hewitt and Wanda See.

She is survived by four sons: Tim (Bridgett) Hewitt of Weiner, Michael (Sarah) Hewitt of Glenwood, Eric Hewitt of Weiner, Jack (Catlin) Guthrie of Weiner, one brother, Marshall (Cassie) Hewitt of Belleville, four sisters: Geraldine (Claude) Scifres of Pampa, Texas, Verna Mae Johnson of Dardanelle, Dolly Howard of Paragould, and Helen Smith of Belleville, 12 grandchildren: Payton (Taylor) Hewitt, Seth Hewitt, Braydan Hewitt, Weston Hewitt, Clayton Hewitt, Alyssa Hewitt, Savannah Hewitt, Justin Guthrie, Oakley Mills, Samantha (Michael) Qualls, Christian Smith, Tiffany Mosley, four great-grandchildren: Alyss Hewitt, Micha Joe Qualls, Maddox J Qualls, Waylon Smith and special family, Myley Rhoads, Mariah Rhoads, Gabriella “Gabby” Wrightson, Fernando “Nano” Rodriguez, Selina Rodriguez, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friend that were all very close to her.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6 at Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P. M. Graveside Service will be at Johnson Cemetery at Cash, Arkansas on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 10:00 A. M.

These men will serve as active pallbearers: Payton Hewitt, Seth Hewitt, Braydan Hewitt, Clayton Hewitt, Marcus Hewitt, Justin Guthrie, Oakley Mills, Christian Smith, Weston Hewitt, and Heath Hewitt. Mr. Mitch Ford will conduct the service.
