Lucy Rudd Wallin of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born August 7, 1939, near Grubbs, Arkansas, the daughter of Willie and Evelee (Ramsey) Rudd.
She was a 1959 graduate of Grubbs High School. On March 1, 1968, she married Jerry Dean Wallin, and together they enjoyed 47 years.
She was a member of the Hoxie Church of Christ, where she had taught Sunday school.
She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and joking with her brothers. She especially loved traveling to dance competitions to watch her granddaughters compete.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Wallin; one great-grandson, Ian Hoskins; and her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Renee Wallin of Wiener, and Chandra Householder and husband, Chris of Alamo, Tennessee; two brothers, Alan Rudd and wife, Sharon of Ravenden, and Bill Rudd of Hawthicket, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Ashley Hoskins and husband, Bob of Nashville, Tennessee, Kara Newman and husband, Matthew of Jonesboro, Amanda Brown and husband, Glenn of Bonicord, Tennessee, and Clayton Rueswald and wife, Alexis of Jackson, Tennessee; three great-grandchildren, Madison McCoy, Mason McCoy, and Penelope Hoskins; his nephews, Billy Ray Rudd, Bryan Rudd Carter, Scott Rudd, Jabez Rudd, and Josh Rudd; his nieces, Shelby Rudd, Wendi Rudd Marshall, and Camillia Rudd Hamilton; several great-nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Llano Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery at Weiner.
