Glendene Johnson, 87, of Batesville passed away July 28, 2022.

She was born July 16, 1935, in Cave City to Alvis and Ruby Pearl (Ball) Henley.

Glendene loved her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews, fishing, and sports. She also loved her church family, attending church, and reading her Bible.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Johnson of Batesville; four brothers, Troy Henley (Allene) of Charlotte, Don Henley of Cave City, Buddy Henley (Phyllis) of Prairie Grove, Melvin Henley of Charlotte; five sisters, Kathryn Crigler (Murvelee) of Cord, Jaunita Henley of Charlotte, Faye Henley of Charlotte, Clara Henley of Charlotte, Linda Cash (Kendall) of Newark; one sister-in-law, Margaret Henley of Batesville, and two grandchildren, Hadden and Drew Henley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joel ”JT” Johnson; four brothers, Wayne, J.B., Ronnie, and Bob Henley, and one sister, Jerry James.

Pallbearers are Dusty Henley, Rusty Henley, Scott Henley, Calvin Crigler, David Thompson, Ty Henley, Mark Henley Sr., and Eddie Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Collier, Phillip Lloyd, Collie Shaw, and the men of Harrison Street Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Antioch Church of Christ with Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Young Cemetery in Charlotte.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
