Evelyn Morton, 86, went to her heavenly home on October 2, 2022. She was born August 14, 1936, to Leonard L. and Tinnie (Prince) Clark in Drasco, Arkansas. She loved the Lord and was of the non-denominational faith.

Evelyn’s devotion to family was evident as she enjoyed caring for all of the children in the family from nieces and nephews to grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She served in the Mountain View School District for 28 years, touching the lives of many and earning the title of “The sweetest lady in school”, loving each of them as if they were her own.

A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one can take. Life doesn’t come with a manual; it comes with a mother.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Brenda Branscum and husband, Terry and Dalene Williams; two sisters, Dean Morris and husband, Jack and Merle Hogans; five grandchildren, Clayton Branscum, Tristy (Branscum) Gosser and husband, Cody, Miranda (Branscum) Worthey, Alie (Soulard) Thompson and Alex Soulard; eight great grandchildren, Cooper Thompson, Emmi Branscum, Aiden Branscum, Rosalynne Cantrell, Scarlett Stowers, Brenlynn Gosser and Lawson Worthey, Caitlyn Branscum; along with a host of loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ray Clark, Harley Clark and Vearl “Sam” Clark.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 10 AM at Signal Hill Cemetery officiated by Ron C. Helm.

Pallbearers are Cody Gosser, Clayton Branscum, Aiden Branscum, Jerry McCleary, Alex Soulard and Golden Stower.
Honorary pallbearer is Terry Branscum.
