The fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. at an apartment near Shorter College.
North Little Rock Fire Department Capt. Dustin Free told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that three adults died in the blaze.
The fire was extinguished by about 7 a.m. and was contained to one apartment but caused the second floor of the building to collapse onto the first.
