Jerry Spearman Jr., 62, of Newport passed from this life on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was born September 12, 1960, to Jerry (JC) Spearman Sr. and Ruthie Mae (Reynolds) Spearman.
Jerry was a member of Greater Morning Star Church, where he was a deacon and a Sunday School Superintendent and sang with L.T. Spirituals. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball. He especially liked watching Lebron play.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Spearman; his parents, his sisters, Delores Bailey and Jerridyne Davis.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Ellis of Newport, Rodick Spearman of Newport, Chris Spearman (Stacey) of Conway, Jeremy Spearman of Detroit, Michigan and Demarco Deasfernandez of Austin, Texas; his daughters, Sondra Ellis of Conway, Dominique Spearman of Newport and Donyelle Davis (Jamie) of Newport; his brother, Donald Spearman of Illinois; his sisters, Ollie Reynolds of Newport and Phyllis Spearman of Virginia; twenty-one grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Berdie Tabon of Virginia; a host of aunts and uncles and a lifetime of friends.
Service will be at 2:00 on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Reverend Nicholas Nettles officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at New Quiet North.
