Obituary: Gary Dean Farmer

Gary Dean Farmer, 70, of Cave City passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in Batesville. He was born September 11, 1952, in Batesville to Bedford and Vera Wilson Farmer. He was an electrician and was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Cave City. He enjoyed time spent with his family, friends and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Ethan Goad.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Farmer of the home; one son, Gary Farmer Jr. of Miami, FL; one daughter, Lena Owens of Panama City Beach, FL; one brother, Larry Farmer (Rosa) of Batesville, AR; two grandchildren, Grant Goad and Tanner Goad; and his stepfather, Lon Hoggard of Cave City; along with several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ with Kenny Townsley and Barry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Steven Green, Mark Walling, Dean Hastings, Bobby Sisk, Larry Wilson and Jeral Hastings.

Honorary pallbearers are his breakfast/coffee-drinking buddies at Buttercups.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gary Farmer Memorial Disaster Relief Fund in the care of the Bank of Cave City.
