Boys Results: Southside-9. Batesville-4.

Singles matches: Southside won 487-379, 468-420, and 452-330. Batesville won 520-517.

Bakers matches: Southside won 164-143, and Batesville won 134-114.

For Southside, Cayden Bowren led with a high game of 222. Tyler Jones added a high game of 196, Breydyn Wilson added a 195, and Adam Denison had a 172.

For Batesville, Jeremiah Brewer led with a high game of 193. Harrison Hunter added a 180.

Girls Results: Batesville-10. Southside-3.

Singles Matches: Batesville won 437-431 and 460-395. Southside won 354-246 and 318-298.

Bakers Matches: Batesville won 134-117 and 115-113.

For Southside, BJ Williams led with a high game of 149. Emma Patterson added a 145, Shanna Santini had a 139, Faith Sharp had a 137, and Chloe McCance had a 136.

For Batesville, Sophia Strain had high games of 223 and 193. Tamera Deutsch added a 136.

“Both matches were pretty competitive, and they usually are when we bowl against Batesville,” said Southside Coach Fred Denison. “I thought our kids did fairly well in singles play, but our Bakers scores have a lot of room for improvement. It’s early in the season, and we are trying different combinations of kids, so I feel we will get those scores where we want them before too long. Overall, not a bad day on the lanes.
