An Evening Shade man has been charged with three felonies as a result of allegedly breaking into a chicken house and cutting out and stealing the wiring.

Independence County Sheriff’s Department Detective Michael Moody investigated the burglary and theft. The chicken house was located on Antioch Road in northern Independence County.

The Independence County Circuit Court record showed that Moody’s investigation brought forth evidence that Timothy Wade Tucker, 33, could be placed at the scene and that wiring from the chicken house was sold by Tucker in Newport.

In an interview with Detective Moody, the court record says Tucker admitted to the burglary and theft. In addition to those two felony charges — burglary and theft of property — Tucker is charged with second-degree criminal mischief for the damage done to the chicken house while cutting out the building’s wiring.

Tucker is currently in the Independence County Jail under a $26,350 bond.
