Batesville City Council to consider cemetery fees, recognize outgoing fire chief


The Batesville City Council will receive an update on the success of the 2022 edition of White River Wonderland during the council’s regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023.

In addition, council members will consider setting fees for permanent maintenance, lot sales, and the mausoleum at Oaklawn Cemetery. The suggested costs are maintenance — $400; lot sales — $1,100; and deed changes — $50.

Also, outgoing Batesville Fire Chief Ronnie Painter will be recognized at tomorrow’s meeting for his retirement.

The Batesville City Council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Batesville Municipal Building, 500 East Main Street.
