Betty J. Hinkle Storey Cash Martin, 96, of Mountain View, Arkansas departed this life on January 22, 2023. She was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1926, in Batesville, Arkansas to the late John Alva and Alma (Lancaster) Hinkle.
Betty dedicated more than forty years to nursing, working for various doctors, the nursing home, and Stone County Medical Center. She was happiest when she had someone to care for. Betty was a generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but she had an ornery streak a mile wide. One of her favorite things to do was to go fishing with her Aunt, Mae Decker. She passed that love of fishing to most of her children and grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Hinkle, husbands; Bailey Storey, Edwin Cash, and Herbert Martin.
Left to cherish her memory are; two sons, Barry Storey (Tori), Tim Storey (Denise); grandchildren, Tonya Gower (Andy), Bob Storey (Chasity), Kristy Storey, Shanya McIntire (Jeremy); nephew, Terry Hinkle; ten great-grandchildren. She was a special woman and will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.
A graveside service will be 1 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas. Brother David Campbell will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Drew Gower, Clay Gower, Cole Gower, Shad Storey, Cason Storey, Miles McIntire. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marin Archer, Zayli Storey, Mia McIntire, Maddox McIntire.
