On January 17, 2023, Richard Wilkins, 75, of Mountain View, Arkansas, took his last breath on this Earth and passed on to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, while surrounded by family.
Rick was born January 1, 1948, to William and Mildred Wilkins in Jonesboro Arkansas. After serving his country in the Air Force for 8 years, he married the love of his life, (Roberta Motes), on April 12, 1975, in Mountain View, Arkansas. Together they raised 3 daughters: Amanda, Kristi, and Angie.
Rick was a Jubilant man that was loved by all who knew him. He would often share that the reason for his great joy was the knowledge that He loved and was loved by His Savior. Without a doubt, his greatest desire was the everyone he encountered would come to the saving knowledge of calling Jesus Lord. In addition to his love for the Lord, he loved his family. Undoubtedly, one of his greatest pleasures was to have his home chaotic with the sounds of his kids and grandkids cutting up and laughing. He enjoyed his lifelong career of building houses, hunting, and spending time with friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his father William Marshall Wilkins, his mother Mildred (Phipps) Wilkins, and his brother Pete.
He is survived by his wife Roberta, children Amanda and Charles Gifford of Mountain View, Kristi and David Latham of Leslie, and Angie Fletcher of Mountain View, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters along with a large extended family including in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on January 28, 2023, at his home church, Mountain View Assembly of God “The Dome Church.” Brother Eddie Passmore and Brother David Latham will officiate the service.
