Phyllis Louise Jackson (Garrett), 70, of Newport, departed this Earthly life on Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born on February 3, 1953, in Vallejo, California to Dorothy and Doyle Garrett.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle Garrett and Dorothy Walls, and her brother, Steven Garrett.
Phyllis loved being near the water, camping and just being outdoors in nature. She also enjoyed cooking, crafts and crocheting Afghans
She is survived by her two sons, Chris Jackson and wife Miranda of Swifton, and Jason Jackson of Newport and four siblings, Wayne Garrett of Little Rock; Mary Bennett and husband Terry of Ward; Patsy Atterberry of Little Rock; and Nancy Helton of Newport. She is survived by nine grandchildren, Kristi Poe of Jacksonport; Hunter Davis of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Cody Jackson of Little Rock; Hannah Davis of Swifton; Abby Davis of Batesville; Katelyn Jackson of Swifton; Karaline Easter of Newport; Austin Carter of Newport; Craig Jackson of Lineville, Alabama; Aaron Jackson of Monroe City, Missouri. Phyllis was blessed with eight great-grandchildren and is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Service will be at 2:00 on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
