Lillian Frances Peebles, 85, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. She passed away at her home in Batesville, Arkansas, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 25, 1937, to Everett and Muriel Morris in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her active life led her to many new places, from attending school at Dyess Elementary, meeting the love of her life in McFarland, California, and settling in Batesville as her final resting home. Her positive spirit and contagious energy earned her the nickname “Energizer Bunny”, and this energy carried on through every person she met during her time as a retail manager and co-owner at Ideal Autos. Lillian took great pride in her beautiful garden, and dedicated herself to many fruitful hobbies, including sewing and putting together photo albums. Lillian had a great love for people, and she experienced so much joy from cooking meals for others and telling stories of her life to her
family and friends. Lillian was of the Church of Christ faith, and her house was never absent of love, laughter, and fellowship.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gufford Clifford Peebles; a daughter, Kathy Lynn Peebles; a grandson, Daniel Ray Boren, and a son-in-law, Stephen Boren.

Survivors include a son, Michael Peebles (Suzanne); a daughter, Karen Boren; a brother, Billy Joe Morris (Brenda); two sisters, Linda Jean Lengefeld (James) and Mary Suzanne Hollingsworth (Scott), as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Bethesda
Church of Christ with Joe Ingram officiating. Arrangements are made by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
