Annette (Phillips) Williams, 87 of Crystal River, Florida departed this life Tuesday ~ February 21, 2023, at Cedar Creek Assistant Living in Crystal River. She was born November 8, 1935, in Harrisburg, Arkansas the daughter of Joseph and Arminda Harris Phillips. Her parents preceded her in death, one brother, Douglas Phillips, and also two sisters: Dorothy Maestas and Mary Senteney Sims. Annette’s husband G. Robert Williams also preceded her in death on August 6, 2014, they had enjoyed sixty years of marriage. She retired in 1988 from New Madrid City Schools after having been a Teacher and Counselor for several years. Annette is a member of the Daughters of the Revolutionary War, a member of the Clan Society of Buchanan (one of the oldest Scottish Clan Societies in the world and purely a charitable one), and a supporting wife of a Marine. Annette enjoyed working on genealogy, making jewelry, collecting antiques, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by one son, Gaston Williams of Durham, NC and husband Robert Hodges, one daughter, Melanie Vernier of Crystal River, Florida, one son~ in~ law, Larry D. Vernier II, two grandchildren: Dr. Larry D. Vernier III of Philadelphia, PA and Brett Vernier of Houston, TX. Visitation will be at 9:00 A. M. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel until Service time. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 A. M. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
