Lewis Madison McDoniel, 81, of Batesville passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Jonesboro. He was born February 21, 1942, to Virgil McDoniel and Audie Lewallen. He enjoyed beekeeping and in his earlier years, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ralph and J.C.; and two sisters, Martha and Dorothy.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Kathryn McDoniel of the home; two sons, Lewis “Bud” McDoniel Jr. and Jonathan Duncan (Mary Beth); two daughters, Martha McDoniel and Elizabeth Rogers Christians (Robert); a brother, Charles McDoniel (Pat). Seven grandchildren also survive him; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.
