Citizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, today announced the promotion of Helen Shaw to senior vice president, corporate security officer and facilities manager.
“Helen is a knowledgeable and experienced banker who has demonstrated a passion throughout the years for supporting our bank’s growth, including oversight of the construction of six banking facilities,” said Karen E. Shaw, executive vice president and chief financial officer. “She prioritizes the safety of our associates and customers while exemplifying our ‘People First’ mission.”
Shaw joined Citizens Bank in 2013 and is a commissioned community bank security officer (CCBSO). In her new role, she will oversee the administration of all aspects of the bank’s security program. Additionally, she will be responsible for managing the construction projects of the bank’s new locations and the general maintenance function for all bank properties.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the community through such an incredible organization,” said Shaw. “It is an equally exciting and rewarding experience to be a part of the bank’s continued growth.”
Shaw has more than 20 years of industrial experience in maintenance, purchasing, contract and vendor management, safety and security, quality control, and environmental control. She is a Gulf War Veteran, serving with the U.S. Air Force during Desert Storm as an Aerospace Ground Equipment technician.
Shaw currently serves on the Cedar Ridge School Board and is involved in helping with the Special Olympics. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a group of men and women making a positive difference in the world. In addition, she helps with the organization and planning of the annual Citizens Bank Community Fall Festival. Helen and her husband, Alan, live in Charlotte, where they are raising their son, Logan.
