Charles Alfred Thomas, 69, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away on April 26th, 2023, at the Stone County Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 11th, 1953, in Batesville, Arkansas to Alfred Clarence Thomas and Jelah Jean (Burns) Thomas.
Charles was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Foothills Baptist Church. Charles had a devoted love for music. He especially enjoyed playing his bass guitar. He also enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, gardening, going to church, and spending time with his dog, Joe Joe. He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Margaret Christine (Carter) Thomas of the home; one daughter, Regina Thomas Newman of Mountain View, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Angelina Newman of Mountain View, Arkansas; one sister, Teresa Sutterfield (husband, Larry Brandtonies) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; mother-in-law, Virginia Brawley of Judsonia, Arkansas; two brothers-in-law, Ervin (Gloria) Carter of Kyle, Texas and Eldon (Crystal) Carter of Blytheville, Arkansas.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Jelah Thomas.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at the Mountain View Historical Cemetery, beginning at 1:00 pm. Brother Truman Bullard will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Lance Buchanan, Stacy Buchanan, Danny Wilson, Marty Motes, Mike Nichols, and Max Newcomb.
