Jewel Barner of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the age of 102. He was born July 13, 1920, in Tuckerman, the son of Charles and Covella (Huskey) Barner.
Mr. Barner was preceded in death by his wife, Emmagene (McLure) Barner; three brothers, Billy Joe Barner, Charles Barner, Jr., and Jimmy Barner; five sisters, Juanita Parker, Hazel McLaughlin, Erma Pruitt, Jean Polston, and Mable Sullivan; and his parents.
He is survived by one son, Bobby Gene Barner, and wife, Cathy of San Francisco, California; one brother, Paul Barner of Judsonia; two sisters, Peggy Blankenship of Paragould and Sue Milligan of Memphis, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
