The Batesville School District’s Communications Department has been honored with a national award for its “Pioneer Update Podcast.”
According to the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), the department received the “2023 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Award” for the “Pioneer Update Podcast.”
Episodes of “Pioneer Update,” which are broadcast three times a week on White River Now radio stations and sponsored by Citizens Bank, are published on the school district’s podcast channel. (Click here for access to the channel.)
BSD Communications Specialist Megan Renihan said the “Pioneer Update Podcast” was rated in the Top 14 in the country out of over 1,800 entries for the NSPRA award in 21 categories. The channel has received over 68,000 streams.
NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding education publications, e-newsletters, digital media programs, radio/TV/video programs, podcasts, social media, infographics, blogs, and websites.
