Bobby J. Roberson of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 80. He was born September 11, 1942, in Jackson County, the son of Commie and Myrtle (Rice) Roberson.
Mr. Roberson was a retired self-employed logger and was of the Baptist belief. He was a hard worker who valued time spent with anyone who wanted to visit. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and riding four-wheelers.
Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rebecca “Becky” (Pulley) Roberson, of the home; one son, Bobby Dale Long and wife, Sheila, of McCrory; one daughter, Sandra Ring and husband, Randy, of Pleasant Plains; four grandchildren, R.J. Rhodes, Chris Rhodes, Sasha Hopkins and husband, Devin, Michael Ring and wife, Sarah; and one great-granddaughter, Autumn Hopkins.
Friends may visit Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Friday at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jacob Long, Jerry Dale Allen, Coan Allen, Jerry Michael Allen, R.J. Rhodes, and Michael Ring. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Rhodes and Randy Ring.
