Mrs. Anna Faye (Lody) McAdams of Bradford, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born October 15, 1933, in Bradford, the daughter of Herman and Vera (Pope) Lody.
She attended Bradford School as a young lady. On February 4, 1950, she married the love of her life, Ernest Cleneth McAdams. Together they shared sixty-four years of marriage. Mrs. McAdams was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She had many hobbies including, gardening, reading, crocheting, and quilting. Her favorite thing to do was spoil her grandchildren.
Mrs. McAdams was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Cleneth McAdams; one son, Roy Cleneth McAdams; two brothers, Dean Lody and J. D. Lody; one sister, Ruth Auneen Ironside; two grandchildren, James McAdams and Elizabeth McAdams; one great great granddaughter, Kantyn Sarrels; and her parents.
She is survived by one son, Roger McAdams and wife, Polly, of Bradford; two daughters, Evelyn McAdams of Bradford and Diana Smith and husband, David, of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Charles Lody and Gerald Lody; six grandchildren, Mesha Sarrels, Bobby McAdams, Kristie McSpadden, Valerie Johnson, Jason McAdams, and Brittany McAdams; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Burkman, Cody Sarrels, Payton McAdams, Austin McAdams, Jeremiah McAdams, and Tabitha Morris; three great great grandchildren, Hunter Robertson, Gatlen Sarrels and Wayland McAdams; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. until service. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Smith Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bobby McAdams, John Morris, Cody Sarrels, Danny McGlothlin, Anthony Burkman, Todd Sarrels, and Tony Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Jason McAdams and Chris McSpadden.
