Delores Cecilia (Alvarez) Bennett, 78, of Tuckerman departed this life on October 15, 2023. She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on February 1, 1945, to Ricardo and Ana (Duran) Alvarez.
Delores was a member of the Tuckerman Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious cooking. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in her garden. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Andy Bennett; her daughter, Kay Bennett; her brothers, Ricardo Alverez, Gary Bennett, Ronnie Easter and J.D. Cooper; her father-in-law, Marsellus Bennett; her mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Bennett; her sisters, Marina Alvarez, Margarite Alvarez, Harriett Luthi, Teresa Carabello and Ana Alvarez.
She is survived by her husband, Bearl Bennett; her daughters, Marti Toddy (Willie) of Tuckerman and Sherri Bennett of Fayetteville; her sisters, Norita Roman of Rochester, New York, Edna Earl Cooper of Newport and Sylla Easter of Newport; her grandchildren, Michael Toddy (Ashley S.), Russell Toddy (Brandi), Bobby Bennett (Corey), Tristy Arnold (Stephen); her great-grandchildren, Alexxia Toddy, Emma Toddy, Jordyn Toddy, Kaysyn Toddy, Logan Toddy, Dorian Toddy, Andrew Stump, Colt Arnold and Beau Arnold; and her special friends, Shelia Goodman and Tammie Clausen of Tuckerman.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Toddy, Trey Coffey, Russell Toddy, Bobby Bennett, Stephen Arnold, David McCluskey and Kevin Easter.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with an interment at Sullins Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
