Batesville Junior High soccer try outs will be Thursday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Batesville High School indoor practice field next to the football stadium.
The oldest birth year allowed for these teams will be for kids born in the year 2009. The kids must be in the Batesville School District or homeschooled only. Organizers are shooting for sixth through ninth graders in the the age range to try out, but they will not be allowed to play for the high school team in the spring if they go this route.
The idea for these teams is to start students playing competitively, build stronger teams, and prepare them for what’s to come in high school.
After tryouts and compiling team rosters, the teams will begin play in 2024.
