Douglas John Taylor, Sr., 62, of Southside departed this life on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was born in Buffalo, New York on August 25, 1960, to Robert Taylor and Phyllis Land.
He was a mechanic during his working years and loved working on cars and drag racing. He loved his grandkids dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Douglas is survived by his sons, Douglas (Alexis) Taylor, Jr., of Batesville, Michael Taylor, of Batesville, Jerry (Melanie) Taylor, of St. Augustine, Florida, and Kenneth Taylor, of Batesville; his daughter, Alexis Manning, of Long Island, New York; his brothers, Tom and Bob Taylor; his sisters, Debbie Dee, Kathy Robel, and Pam Metzger; his grandchildren, D. J. Taylor, Marlign Taylor, Hernione Taylor, Landyn Taylor, and Bentely Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
