UPDATE: According to a Jan. 6 post from the Swifton Police Department, Dejon Leagux has been found safe. An investigation is ongoing, and the department says more information will be released as it develops. The department thanked the law enforcement agencies, aircraft owners, the Morgan Nick Foundation, and several individuals who worked to locate Leagux.

Law enforcement is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a woman who has been reported missing and may be in a vehicle that was stolen from a Jackson County Dollar General on New Year’s Eve.

According to the Swifton Police Department, Dejon Legaux (pictured above) is suspected of stealing a silver Mazda CX9 (seen above) from the Dollar General in Swifton on Dec. 31, 2023. The vehicle bears an Arkansas license plate with the registration USALTFM.

The police department says Legaux has been reported missing, and concerns for her well-being are heightened due to a known mental illness. A resident of Louisiana, her current direction of travel is unknown.

Authorities advise the public not to approach Legaux and to contact local authorities if she is sighted promptly. Anyone with information should contact the Swifton Police Department at (870) 485-2600.
