Obituary: Judy Ann (Eagan) Hubbard

Judy Ann (Eagan) Hubbard, age 78, of Judsonia, Arkansas drifted peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born March 26, 1945, at Strawberry, the daughter of Marlin O. and Venita (Clem) Eagan.

Ms. Hubbard was a longtime resident of Tuckerman and a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1963 graduate of Tuckerman High School. Ms. Hubbard was co-owner and operator of the Lion Oil Company at the Blue Bridge for a time, later becoming the store manager of Coleman’s Combo in Newport for 15 years. She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, and watching Castle. Ms. Hubbard especially loved raising her children. She was devoted to her family as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Ms. Hubbard was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Sue Hubbard; her parents; and a brother, Jerry Wayne Eagan.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Neal “Bo” Hubbard, Jr., and wife, Nicki Lynn of Newport; one brother, Billy Gene Eagan and wife, Barbara of Mount Pleasant, Texas; two sisters, Betty Lou Berry of Avon, Indiana and Carolyn Jean Eagan of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Joseph Ray Hubbard of Missouri; Stephanie Hubbard; Sylvia Cameron; and James Cameron. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins; and a lifetime of friends.

Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Gracelawn Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy “Bo” Hubbard, Kenny Berry, Shawn Short, Kenny Baty, Shane Baty, Billy Don Soden, and Kyler Soden.
