Obituary: Dowel Sauvage

Dowel Sauvage, 75, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Cave City. He was born December 8, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to Paul and Ruby Sauvage. He was a Master Mason 3rd Degree at the Gainsboro Masonic Lodge #258 and he was also a York Rite Mason in Batesville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vicki Sauvage; and his brothers, Chuck and Mike Sauvage.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Davis of Cave City, Arkansas; his son, Randy Sauvage of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his three grandchildren, Kristen Smart (J.D), Chase “Tator” Davis (Beth) and Layne Davis; his four great-grandchildren, Kenslee Smart, Klaire Smart, Kase Smart and Ruby Davis; his brother, Jeff Sauvage; and his sister, Patricia; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Larry Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
