Jean Doris Hicks, 88, of Newport departed this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born in Fitzugh, Arkansas on April 21, 1935, to Euil Everett and Enola (Hale) Mauldin.
A devout member of the Airbase Church of Christ, she found comfort in her faith. Renowned as a skilled beautician, she touched many lives with her talent. Her journey was marked by loss, preceded by her parents; her husband, Hank Hicks; and her son, Craig Hicks. She leaves behind several cousins, who will cherish her memory dearly. In the hearts of those she leaves behind, she will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her compassionate spirit, and the beauty she brought into the lives of others through her work and her presence.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Coffeyville Cemetery with Brother Gary Lawson officiating.
