“Miss Kay,” the matriarch from the reality show “Duck Dynasty,” will be in Charlotte as part of a Women’s Conference at John 3:16 Ministries on Saturday, April 13.

Billed as “a day of faith and fellowship,” the conference will kick off at 11 a.m. as women from around Arkansas will speak on what it means to “Grow in Grace.”

“’Grow in Grace’ is taken from one of Peter’s letters in the Bible,” said Amanda Waugh, one of the instructors at John 3:16 Women’s Ministry. In the letter, Peter cautions readers to be on their guard of false teachings, then challenging Jesus’ followers: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18).

A free fish fry will be served at noon, and there will also be door prizes, an auction, and music by the John 3:16 Band.

Advance tickets are not required but large groups may text John 3:16 Women’s Ministry instructor Erin Trautwein at (870) 834-9959 to RSVP.

At 2 p.m., Robertson will be the featured speaker at the event. She and her husband Phil live in West Monroe, La., and are the subject of the movie “The Blind.” Robertson has written two cookbooks and a children’s book and is the co-author of “Sister Roar” with her daughter-in-law Lisa. She frequently travels to speak on such topics as faith and religion, alcoholism and drug abuse, health and wellness, and more.

The event will end at 3 p.m.

Located at 75 Holmes Road with campuses for men and women, John 3:16 is a spiritual boot camp for those with drug and alcohol addictions.
