Frances Ruth Pridmore, 83, of Weldon passed from this life Friday, March 8, 2024. She was born November 26, 1940, to Gus Woodrow and Mildred Virginia (Gibson) Newman.

A devoted member of Sandhill Church of Christ, she found solace in her faith. Tending to vegetable and flower gardens brought her solace and joy. Known fondly as Aunt Ta Ta, she extended her love and care to nieces and nephews. Her selflessness was evident in her compassionate care for the elderly and sick, offering assistance through cleaning and cooking. In the hearts of those she touched, her legacy of kindness and generosity will endure as a cherished memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Franklin Pridmore, a son, Kenneth W. Pridmore and a brother, James Larry Newman.

She is survived by a son, Michael Pridmore of Weldon, and a brother, Jack L. Newman (Camilla) of Newport.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Cody Newman, Patrick Beard, Allen Miur, Scotty Tooley, Talmage Whitehead, Doug Osier and Rick Ellis.
